Korea’s exports of Covid-19 diagnostic kits and flu vaccines expanded significantly in August from a year earlier, and the growth trend is likely to continue, an analyst said.

According to the Korea Customs Service’s data in August, the nation’s exports of diagnostic kits jumped 828 percent on-year to $181.89 million last month. Compared to July, the volume increased by 33.2 percent.

“Exports of test kits almost halved in July compared to the peak in April but finally turned around (in August),” said Sun Min-jung, an analyst at the Hana Financial Investment, in her report Tuesday.
